VIOLATION OF RESTRAINING ORDER/DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ASSAULT
On Thursday, May 16th, at about 11:56 pm. police were dispatched to an apartment in the Whitehouse Station section for a reported domestic violence assault in progress.
Lt. Scott Crater and Cpl. Chris Heycock arrived and arrested the offender, a 33 year old male, who the officers determined assaulted his 32 year old live-in girlfriend; the girlfriend said her boyfriend choked her during a heated argument and the officers saw signs of injury to the girlfriend's neck.
The officers also determined the boyfriend was in violation of a temporary restraining order that the girlfriend had filed against him in New York in April, 2013.
The boyfriend was lodged in the Hunterdon County Jail in lieu of $2,500.00 bail.
The girlfriend refused medical attention and declined an offer to apply for a temporary restraining order in New Jersey.
