Drug Arrest

On Monday, August 12th, 2013, at approximately 9:03 pm, Lt. Scott Crater stopped a 2006 Chevrolet pickup truck as it left the Wawa parking lot. The driver of the pickup, Christopher Barbieri, 25 years old, of Flemington, NJ, was observed engaged in suspicious activity in the Wawa parking lot, which lead to the stop.

During a subsequent search of the truck Barbieri was driving the officer discovered amphetamines, a schedule 2 controlled dangerous substance, in a cigarette box; Barbieri did not have a prescription for the amphetamines. Barbieri was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, 3rd degree, Possession of Prescription Drugs Not Lawfully Prescribed by a Licensed Physician, and Failure to Make Proper Disposition of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. Barbieri was later released on his own recognizance with a pending court date.
