EMOTIONALLY DISTURBED MAN TAKEN TO HOSPITAL
On Wednesday, October 16th, 2013, at 9:38 pm, police were dispatched to a township residence for a report of an out of control male breaking things inside his home; the male's family had locked themselves in a bedroom to avoid being assaulted by the man.
Lt. Scott Crater and Sgt. Vincent Corsentino arrived and when they entered the home the male attempted to slam the front door on the officers; the officers had to wrestle the man to the ground and handcuff him to bring him under control.
The officers learned that the man was an emotionally disturbed person and they transported him to the Hunterdon Medical Center for a mental health evaluation and treatment. No one was injured in the incident and no criminal charges were filed.
