On August 17th and 18th, 2013 the Readington Township PBA Local 317 held its first annual 3-D archery shoot at the Vislockey Property in Readington Township. The two-day event drew over 130 archers. PBA #317 was able to give away numerous door prizes, provide breakfast and lunch, and raise approximately $10,000. The proceeds raised by PBA Local 317 are used to assist with community activities and fundraisers. PBA Local 317 also donates to the Police Unity Tour, The Special Olympics, numerous college scholarships, local athletic events, and numerous other organizations.

During the two-day event, it was brought to the attention of PBA 317 members that a young township resident, Walter Mathews Harms, is faced with a life changing disease. It was learned that the child loves the outdoors and took his Hunters Education Test on August 24, 2013.

On October, 29, 2013 PBA Local 317 presented Mathew with a Big Mike Ground Blind, a ground blind chair, a ground blind backpack carrier, and a Delta 3D coyote to further his love for the sport of hunting. Mathew showed his support by attending the two day event.

It was with great delight that PBA Local 317 held the two-day archery event. PBA Local 317 would like to take a moment and thank all the attendees and all the sponsors.
