On December, 24, 2013, at approximately 1445 hours, Sgt. Carlos Ferreiro stopped a vehicle on Rt. 22 east andSophie St.for a missing front plate. The vehicle was operated by Gabrielle Strelko, age 54 of Bridgewater and occupied by Michael Johnson age 47 of Bridgewater. During the investigation the officer learned that the two individuals were suspects in a suspicious incident earlier in the day inReadingtonTownship.

A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed numerous cut copper pipes as well as other items. Both Strelko and Johnson were placed under arrest for receiving stolen property. Strelko was lodged at the Hunterdon County Jail on $2500 full bail for the above charge. Johnson was also lodged at the Hunterdon County Jail on $2500 bail as well as for an additional theft warrant out ofSouth Bound Brook,NJ. The following case it still being investigated by the Readington Township Police Department.
