On June 2, 2014, at approximately midnight, police stopped
Jeremy Davis, 35, of Clarksburg, WV, for having a malfunctioning
brake light. Mr. Davis told the officer he lost his ID and
identified himself as Thomas Edmonds. The front seat passenger,
Carolyn Davis, 31, also from West Virginia identified herself as
the driver's girlfriend. She was asked what the drivers name was
and told the officer it was Thomas but that she could not
remember his last name. Sgt. DeWire determined that both were
lying and both were arrested and charged with hindering
apprehension. Both were released after being served with their
summons.
