Officers Win 4 Medals in Olympics
On June 26-28, 2014 Sgt. Carlos Ferreiro and Cpl. Christopher Heycock competed in the United States Police and Fire Olympics, held in San Diego, California. The officers represented the Readington Township PBA Local 317 and competed against numerous athletes from across theUnited States. The event had over 3,500 athletes competing from multiple Police and Fire Agencies from around the country.
The officers competed in the archery division in the three following events: 900 FITA Round, Field/Hunter Target Round, and Unmarked 3D. Sgt. Carlos Ferreiro won two gold medals, one for the 900 FITA and the other for the Field Hunter Target Round. Cpl. Christopher Heycock won two medals, a bronze in the Field Hunter Round and silver in the unmarked 3D round. The officers will hopefully compete in the 2015 Police and Fire World Games inFairfax,Vaand represent PBA Local 317 once again.
PBA Local 317 will be hosting the second annual 3D shoot atPickleParkinWhitehouse Sta,NJ. on Saturday & Sunday August 9th & 10th. Feel free to come by and participate in this great event.
