On Sunday, June 28, 2015, at approximately 1159 hours, Sgt. Carlos Ferreiro stopped a motor vehicle on Rt. 523 for an equipment violation. The vehicle was operated by Nicole McCaffrey (36) of Easton, PA. During the motor vehicle investigation, the officer had his canine partner conduct a sniff of the vehicle and the canine alerted to narcotics. A later search of the vehicle by the officer yielded under fifty grams of Marijuana and Cocaine. McCaffrey was charged with possession of Cocaine and possession of Marijuana. McCaffrey was released from police custody pending a future court appearance.
