Drug & Weapons Charges.

On Saturday, January 10, 2016 at 2237 hours, Patrolman Woolverton stopped a Toyota on Route 202 for having a headlight out. While speaking with the occupants, the officer observed open beer bottles in the car. The driver, Jacob A. Miller, 20 from Bridgewater, NJ was found in possession of marijuana, heroin, cocaine, expandable baton, mace, and daggers. He was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession of heroin, possession of CDS in a motor vehicle, maintenance of lamps, open container and possession of certain weapons. He was unable to post bail and was lodged in the Hunterdon County Jail.

Passenger, Edie V. Velcheck, 20 from Manville, NJ was found in possession of an open beer and cocaine. She was charged with possession of cocaine, underage possession of alcoholic beverage, open container, and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle. She was unable to post bail and was lodged in the Hunterdon County Jail.

Passenger, Kevin J. Martinez, 22 from Bound Brook, NJ was found in possession of an open beer, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. He was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and offering an alcoholic beverage to minors. He was released pending court.

Passenger, Devin R. Shields, 20 from Raritan, NJ was found in possession of an open beer. He was charged with underage possession of alcoholic beverage, open container, and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle. He was also wanted out of Manalapan Township for failing to appear in traffic court. He was released with a new court date.
