On Friday, March 18, 2016, at approximately 0132 hours, Sgt. Ferreiro stopped a motor vehicle on Rt. 22 west and Potterstown Rd for speeding. The vehicle was operated by Johnny Salazar, age 26 of Bethlehem, PA and occupied by David Gibbs, age 24 of Allentown, PA and Ariane Lopez, age 27 of Elmhurst, NY. During the motor vehicle stop the officer had his canine partner Polis conduct a sniff of the vehicle. Polis gave a positive indication for the odor of narcotics within the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed under fifty grams of marijuana. All three individuals were placed under arrest and charged with possession of under fifty grams of marijuana. Salazar was issued two summonses for speeding and operating a motor vehicle in possession of CDS. The three individuals were released from police custody, pending a future court appearance
