On Friday, April 15, 2016 Carmela I. Batista, 57, from Whitehouse Station was arrested for Criminal Mischief. Officers were called to an over 55 community because someone had used a marker and nail polish to vandalize several front doors. Patrolman Alex Wright was the investigating officer and determined that Batista had caused the damage. Batista was released with a summons to appear in Municipal Court.
