On Thursday, March 30, 2019 the Readington Township Patrol division responded to the area of Rt. 629 near Rt. 523 for two occupied vehicles stuck in rising waters on the roadway. Patrol officers were able to remove the occupants from the two vehicles by using the patrol issued throw bags. All the occupants of the vehicles were safely removed without injury. This is also a friendly reminder to be aware of rising waters near roadways and always use caution when approaching flooded roadways.
