Man Loses Fingers in Industrial Accident

On Thursday, March 21st, at about 10:42 pm, police were dispatched to Readington Farms for a report of an industrial accident. Lt. Scott Crater arrived with the Whitehouse Rescue Squad and discovered a 33 year old male employee had severed the pinkie and ring finger of his right hand in an industrial accident at the plant. The man was given emergency first aid and the severed fingers were retrieved and packed in ice in the hopes they could be reattached. The man was transported to a trauma center for treatment.

The employee was cleaning a piece of equiptment that was not mechanized at the time of the accident. The exact nature of the accident is still being investigated.
