Motor Vehicle Crash
On Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at approximately 1206 hours the
Readington Township Police Department was dispatched to 277 Main
Street in Whitehouse Station for a trailer that stuck a telephone
pole with downed wires.
Upon arrival, the driver, David Park of Three Bridges advised he
had rented the Budget Rental box truck along with the trailer
from Budget rental in Lebanon. Park explained that as he was
traveling South on Route 523 the trailer became detached while
crossing the railroad tracks and struck the telephone pole
causing damage to the pole and landscaping to 277 Main Street.
JCP&L responded to repair the pole and restore power. Police
advised that Main Street was closed down between Kline Boulevard
and Pulaski Road for a little over an hour.
