On Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, around 12:09 a.m., Patrolman Patrick Brown stopped to investigate a truck stopped along Route 202, just north of Summer road. The vehicle was driven by Jason Ciavola, 30, ofSomerset,NJ.

After detecting the odor of an alcoholic beverage on Ciavola's breath, Police had Cialvola perform a series of standardized field sobriety tests, which he failed. Ciavola was arrested and taken to headquarters for processing. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and refusal to submit breath samples.
