On March 30, 2014, at 1:45 am police were called to the area of US Hwy 22 and Lake Drive for a vehicle stuck in the median. Sgt DeWire arrived on scene and located a Volkswagon in the center of the median. While speaking to the driver, Roberto Serrano-Ruiz, 21, of New Brunswick NJ, he saw evidence of intoxication. Sobriety tests were conducted and Mr. Serrano-Ruiz failed the tests. He was arrested and his vehicle was towed from the scene. He was issued summonses for DUI, careless driving and being an unlicensed driver. He was released to a friend.
