SUSPICIOUS MALE ARRESTED ON WARRANT
On Thursday, April 10th, 2014, at 11:59 am, police were dispatched to the Station Center parking lot for a report of a male acting in a suspicious manner. Lt. Scott Crater located the suspicious male hiding in the McDonald's bathroom. The male was arrested after an on-scene investigation revealed the suspicious male had a warrant out for his arrest in the amount of $250.00 from Raritan Township; the warrant was the result of the man failing to go to court to answer for an unknown criminal charge.
The man was brought to the Readington Township Police Headquarters where a family member posted his bail. While dealing with the male, officers noticed signs of mental illness and with the consent of the man's family he was brought to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation. The man will be given a new court date in Raritan Township and was not charged with a crime in Readington Township.
