On Sunday, May 18, 2014, at approximately 0800 hours, Sgt. Ferreiro stopped a U-Haul van on Route 22 for an unsafe lane change. In speaking to the occupants of the van, the passenger provided a false name after failing to wear his seatbelt. The passenger, Ronaldo Simmonds, age 25 of Hartford Conn, provided a different spelling of his name and date of birth. As a result, Simmonds was arrested for Obstruction of Justice. After processing, Simmonds was released with a future court date to appear. The driver of the vehicle was also issued a summons for driving while suspended.
