On Saturday, May 24, 2014 at approximately 0207 hours, Sgt. Carlos Ferreiro stopped a vehicle on Rt. 202 North nearWhiton Rdfor swerving. The vehicle was occupied by Kenneth Zagaro, age 44 of Neshanic Sta., NJ. During the motor vehicle stop the officer detected the odor of Marijuana emanating from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed under fifty grams of Marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Zagaro was placed under arrest and charged with failure to maintain lane, operating a motor vehicle in possession of CDS, possession of under fifty grams of Marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Zagaro was released from police custody pending a future court appearance.
