On Friday, May 23, 2014 at approximately 2356 hours, Sgt. Carlos Ferreiro stopped a vehicle for speeding onMountain Rd.near Rt. 22 East. The vehicle was occupied by Donald Smith (55) ofLebanon,NJ. During the motor vehicle investigation the officer could detect the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. The officer also noticed that Smith was displaying signs of intoxication. After Smith performed the field sobriety tests, he was placed under arrest for DWI. Smith was charged with speeding and DWI. Smith was released to a sober adult pending a future court appearance.
