Second DUI arrest in less than a week

On October 19, 2014 at 1945 hours Ptlm. Mazellan stopped a black Jeep on 202 southbound by River Ave for swerving. The driver, Brian Jenkins, age 30 of Readington Township showed signs of being under the influence. Ptlm. Mazellan requested Jenkins to perform field sobriety tests which he subsequently failed. A search of the vehicle also uncovered a small amount of marijuana. Jenkins was arrested and charged with DUI, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, Under the Influence of CDS, CDS in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, obstructed windshield, failure to maintain lane, failure to signal and careless driving. Jenkins was released to a friend pending a future court date.

On October 14th, Patrolman Wright arrested Jenkins and charged him with DUI and being under the influence of CDS.
