Crash+DUI+Assault = ARREST
On February 21, 2015, at approximately 3:00am, police were called to River Avenue for a motor vehicle accident. Ptlm. Wright and Sgt. Dewire arrived on scene and found that a vehicle operated by a Timothy Stryker (age 21) of Raritan Twp. left the road and struck a tree. The vehicle proceeded on and struck a nearby fence. During the crash investigation, Stryker showed signs of intoxication and field sobriety tests were given. Stryker was arrested for DUI and the vehicle was towed from the scene. While at police headquarters, Stryker became belligerent and combative and attempted to free himself from his handcuffs. Stryker punched and kicked the officers as they were attempting to calm him down. Stryker will not appear in court where he will answer to the following charges; Aggravated Assault, DUI, Refusal To Submit To Breath Testing, Reckless Driving, Careless Driving, and Failure To Exhibit Insurance and Registration Card. Stryker was logged in Hunterdon County Jail in default of $15,000 bail.
