On April 8, 2015 at approximately 7:50 p.m. Cpl. Carr responded to the intersection of Route 22 and Route 523 for a tractor trailer that had knocked down a traffic light. Upon arrival it was determined the driver had attempted to make a U-turn subsequently hitting the highway's traffic light running it over. The west bound lanes were closed for approximately 2 ½ hours until the state DOT could respond out and turn off the power and the trailer could be lifted off the light pole. The driver, Robin Smith of Oil City Pennsylvania was issued a careless driving summons.
