2014 Officer of the year Readington Township Police

Detective Steven Rindock of the Readington Township Police Dept. has been presented with the Departmental Achievement Award for 2014, also known as the "Officer of the Year".

Det. Rindock was selected for the honor by his colleagues as best exemplifying the spirit of the department in categories such as, professionalism, ethics, attitude, esprit de corps, etc. The number of an officer's tickets or arrests is not a major area considered in the selection. Each officer in the department votes for whom they feel best represents the image and spirit of the department.

Det. Rindock graduated from the Somerset County Police Academy in 2005 and started his law enforcement career with the Raritan Township Police Department before being hired by Readington Township in 2010.

In recognition of receiving the award Det. Rindock he will have his name inscribed in a plaque that is displayed in the lobby of the police station and will receive a dinner for two at the luxurious Ryland Inn donated by the Ryland Inn.
