On Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 0303 hours, officers responded to the WALMART store for a suspicious box truck. PFC. Serrone arrived and stopped the truck as it was leaving the parking lot. While speaking with the occupants of the truck, the officer observed several used battery cores and a pair of bolt cutters. Other officers checked the WALMART store with an employee and discovered that a chain and lock securing a shed was cut and several used battery cores were missing from the shed. When officers searched the box truck, the cut lock from the shed was located as well as 25 battery cores. PFC. Serrone arrested Michael Ayler from Neptune NJ and his sister, Regina Ayler from Willingboro NJ and charged them both with Burglary, Theft, and Possession of Burglary Tools. Regina was also charged with possession of Heroin after officers discovered the drug on her person during her arrest. Michael also had $1,080.00 worth of traffic warrants. Both were lodged in the Hunterdon County Jail.
