2 Pounds Synthetic Marijuana Arrest
On Monday, May 4, 2015 at 0222 hours, Ptlm. Mazellan was conducting business checks in the King's Plaza and observed a black Chevrolet sedan in the rear of the Peapack Gladstone Bank with its engine running and lights on. While checking on the vehicle, a strong smell of marijuana was detected. Consent was obtained to search the vehicle and over two pounds of synthetic marijuana was discovered. Johnathan Strait, age 25 of Hagerstown, MD, Kevin T. Davis Jr., age 24 of Hagerstown, MD, Jennifer Spradlin, age 22, of Frederick, MD and Joseph C. Owens, age 23 of Hagerstown, MD were charged with possession of synthetic marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of synthetic CDS. All four were lodged in the Hunterdon County Jail on the charges, pending $10,000 cash bail each. At the jail, Joseph Owen was found to be in possession of a baggie of crack cocaine hidden inside his cavity and was charged with an additional charge of possession of CDS.
