Drug Arrest

On Sunday, May 17, at approximately 0230 hours Sgt. Ferreiro stopped a vehicle on Route 202 for failure to maintain lanes. The driver of the vehicle, Todd Miller, age 30 of Hillsborough NJ was later arrested for DUI. Miller was released after processing with a future court appearance required.

During the motor vehicle stop, Sgt. Ferreiro detected an odor of raw marijunana inside the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed 110 decks of heroin, a plastic bag containing cocaine, synthetic marijuana, and marijuana. As a result, charges were signed against Todd Miller and the passenger, Kara Barnes.

On Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at approximately 2130 hours, Kara Barnes age 32 of Branchburg, NJ came to the police station to pick up belongings from the previous evening. Barnes was arrested for the above charges and charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Heroin with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Synthetic Marijuana.

Barnes was logged in the Hunterdon County Jail in default of the $100,000 bail.
