Drug Arrest
On Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at approximately 1632 hours, Sgt. Carlos Ferreiro stopped a vehicle on Rt. 202 South near Burgers Honda for speeding and multiple equipment violations. The vehicle was operated by Lindsay Sanders (26) of Cherry Hill, NJ and occupied by Joseph Weaver (23) of Levittown, PA. During the motor vehicle investigation, the officer had his canine partner conduct and exterior sniff of the vehicle. A later search of the vehicle, yielded 26 wax folds of Heroin, 132 vials of Heroin and seven hypodermic needles. Sanders and Weaver were placed under arrest and charged with possession of Heroin and possession of Hypodermic needles. Sanders was issued summonses for speeding, view obstruction, driving while suspended and operating a motor vehicle in possession of CDS. Also during the investigation the officer located outstanding warrants for both individuals. Sanders had $1,200 warrant out of Cherry Hill Municipal Court and Weaver had a $500 warrant out of Old Bridge Municipal Court. The individuals were then lodged at the Hunterdon County Jail on $10,000 bail each and are waiting a future court appearance.
