Drug Arrest

On Saturday, August 15, 2015 at approximately 2338 hours, Sgt Carlos Ferreiro stopped a motor vehicle for speeding and failure to maintain lane on Rt. 22 west and Potterstown Rd. The vehicle was driven by Eric Richter (22) of Franklin Lakes, NJ and occupied by Jessica Capo (23) of Franklin Lakes and Michael Moratto (22) of Riverdale, NJ. During the motor vehicle investigation the officer had his canine partner conduct a sniff of the vehicle, which resulted in a positive indication for the presence of narcotics. A later search of the vehicle by the officer yielded numerous bags of heroin, hypodermic needle and drug paraphernalia. The officer also located an outstanding traffic warrant for the arrest of Michael Moratto. The individuals were charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic needle. Eric Richter was issued three summonses; speeding, failure to maintain lane and operating a motor vehicle in possession of CDS. All the individuals were released from police custody pending a future court appearance.
