On Friday, December 11, 2015, at approximately 2158 hours, Ptl. Brown stopped a vehicle operated by Raquel Reese (21) of Whitehouse Station, for careless driving and not wearing her seatbelt on Whitehouse Ave. The officer had Sgt. Carlos Ferreiro and his canine partner Polis respond to the scene. Sgt. Carlos Ferreiro had his canine conduct a sniff of the vehicle for illegal narcotics. The canine gave a positive indication for the presence of narcotics. A search of the vehicle revealed under fifty grams of Marijuana, scales, narcotics packaging, and drug paraphernalia. Ptl. Brown arrested Reese and charged her with the following: Disregard of stop or yield regulations, failure to wear seatbelt, operating a motor vehicle in possession of CDS, possession of under fifty grams of Marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Reese was released from police custody pending a future court appearance.
