DWI & Drug Arrest
On Saturday, December 12, 2015, at approximately 0053 hours, Ptl. Patrick Brown stopped a motor vehicle on Rt. 22 near Lake Dr. for careless driving and failure to maintain lane. The vehicle was operated by Mark Hunt (59) of Whitehouse Station. During the motor vehicle investigation the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage and Marijuana coming from the driver. The officer had Hunt perform Standardized Field Sobriety Test, which he failed. Hunt was placed under arrest and a search of his person revealed a bag of Marijuana. Also, a search of Hunt's vehicle revealed drug paraphernalia. Hunt was charged with the following: DWI, careless driving, possession of under fifty grams of Marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and operating a motor vehicle in possession of CDS. Hunt was released from police custody to a sober adult pending a future court appearance.
