Drug Arrest

On Monday, December 14, 2015, at approximately 1927 hours, Ptl. Mazellan stopped a motor vehicle on Coddington Rd. because the vehicle was being operated with no headlamps. The vehicle was driven by Jake Tiner (age 19) of Branchburg, NJ. During the motor vehicle investigation, the officer requested that Sgt. Ferreiro and his canine Polis respond to the stop location. Sgt. Ferreiro had his canine Polis conduct a sniff of the vehicle and the canine gave a positive indication for the presence of narcotics. A search of the vehicle revealed under fifty grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Tiner was arrested and additional marijuana was located in his shoes. Tiner was charged with the following: possession of under fifty grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle without headlamps, operating a motor vehicle in possession of CDS and careless driving.
