On Sunday, December 20, 2015, at approximately 2334 hours Ptl. Mazellan stopped a Nissan Maxima on Rt. 523 for failing to dim its high beams. While talking to the driver of the vehicle the officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana emanating out of the interior of the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted uncovering an amount of marijuana under 50 grams as well as drug paraphernalia. One of the passenger's in the vehicle, Sarah L. Imhoff, took responsibility of the marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Imhoff was subsequently arrested and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Imhoff was released from police custody pending a future court date.
