Drug Arrest

On Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 0122 hours, Corporal Heycock stopped a suspicious vehicle that was parked behind McDonalds which was closed at the time. He discovered that the driver, Christopher Columbo from Marlboro NY, had a suspended New York drivers license and a traffic warrant was issued for his arrest for failing to appear in the Toms River, NJ Municipal Court. A Passenger, Robert A. Tenhagen from Marlboro NY, also had a traffic warrant for his arrest for failing to appear in the HO-HO-KUS Boro Municipal Court. While speaking with the occupants of the car, the officer observed marijuana inside the car. Additional marijuana and a glass pipe was located during a search of the car. Columbo, Tenhagen, and a third passenger, Jade D. Dodd from Milton, NY were arrested and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Columbo was also charged with driving while suspended and operating a motor vehicle while in possession of a narcotic. Columbo and Tenhagen posted bail for the traffic warrants and all three men were realeased with summonses to appear in the Readington Township Municipal Court.
