On January 4, 2016, at approximately 8:20 pm police were called to State Hwy 22, near Juniper Dr for a motor vehicle accident. Ptl Griffiths and Sgt DeWire arrived and determined that Joshua Landis, age 26, of Raritan Twp, NJ drove into the rear of a vehicle driven by Jennifer Valenti of Monroe Twp, NJ. Suspected synthetic marijuana was located in Mr Landis' vehicle and officers had reason to believe he was under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Landis was arrested by Ptl Griffiths and charged with possession of a controlled substance, DUI, careless driving and being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle. Landis was released to friend pending a future court appearance.
