On Thursday, January 14, 2016, at approximately 2314 hours, Sgt. Ferreiro observed a vehicle parked in a field on Thor Solberg Rd. The officer approached the vehicle and made contact with the driver Gregory Figueroa (21) of Branchburg, NJ. During the investigation, the officer noticed that Figueroa attempted several times to distance himself from his vehicle. The officer then had his canine partner Polis conduct a sniff of the vehicle for narcotics. The canine gave a positive indication for the odor of narcotics. A search of the vehicle revealed under fifty grams of Marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Figueroa was arrested and charged with possession of under fifty grams of Marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle in possession of CDS. Figueroa was released from police custody pending a future court appearance.
