On Sunday, January 31, 2016, at approximately 1643 hours Ptl. Mazellan was patroling Rt. 202 and discovered that a four door sedan with a New York registration did not have a valid registration. Ptl. Mazellan stopped the vehicle on 202 by Holland Brook Rd and made contact with the driver, Lindsey Beth Godfrey, 24, of Albany, NY. During the course of the traffic stop the officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the interior of the vehicle. A search of the vehicle returned with an amount of marijuana under 50 grams and a marijuana pipe. Godfrey was subsequently arrested, charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Godfrey was released from police custody with a summons and court date.
