On Sunday, February 21, 2016, at approximately 2319 hours, Sgt. Ferreiro stopped a motor vehicle on Rt. 22 West near Potterstown Rd. for having a nonfunctioning headlamp. The vehicle was operated by Irvan Wallace II (age 25) of Crimora, Virginia. During the motor vehicle stop the officer had his canine partner Polis conduct a sniff for narcotics in the vehicle. The canine gave a positive indication for the odor of narcotics. A search of the vehicle revealed under fifty grams of Marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Wallace was arrested and charged with possession of Marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to maintain lamps. Wallace was released from police custody pending a future court appearance.
