On March 17, 2016, at approximately 9:53 AM, police were dispatched to the intersection of US HWY 22 East and Coddington Rd for a motor vehicle crash. Ptl Serrone determined that a tractor trailer being driven by Mory Soumaoro, 53, of New York, NY attempted to cross the eastbound lanes of US HWY 22 but did so without yielding the right of way to a 1995 BMW being driven by Manuel Goncalves, 62, of Dayton, NJ.

The BMW struck the tractor and became wedged under the trailer. The Whitehouse Rescue Squad responded and transported Goncalves to Morristown Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries. Mory Soumaoro was not injured. Mory Soumaoro was issued summonses for failing to yield to oncoming traffic and careless driving. The Whitehouse Fire Department also assisted.
