On Thursday, March 17, 2016, at approximately 2316 hours, Sgt. Ferreiro stopped a motor vehicle on Rt. 22 west and Potterstown Rd for swerving and impeding the flow of traffic. The vehicle was operated by Abimael Lozada age 22 of Easton, PA and occupied by Samantha Ramirez, age 18 of Easton, PA. During the motor vehicle stop the officer had his canine partner Polis conduct a sniff of the vehicle. Polis gave a positive indication for the odor of narcotics within the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed under fifty grams of marijuana. Both individuals were placed under arrest and charged with possession of under fifty grams of marijuana. Lozada was issued two summonses for impeding the flow of traffic and operating a motor vehicle in possession of CDS. Both individuals were released from police custody, pending a future court appearance.
