Erratic Driver Call Leads To Heroin Arrest

On Sunday, April 10, 2016, Ptl. Woolverton investigated a report of an erratic driver in the area of Kings Plaza. Ptl. Woolverton located the vehicle in the parking lot of Kings after it struck another vehicle traveling through the parking lot. The vehicle, a 2016 Volkswagon Jetta was operated by a Francis Vaccaro age 33 of Lebanon, NJ. While investigating the motor vehicle accident, Ptl. Woolverton observed that Vaccaro was acting strange and later saw signs of drug use in plain view in his vehicle. Vaccaro was placed under arrest without incident. The driver of the other vehicle refused an accident report.

Vaccaro was transported to the Readington Township Police Department where he was processed and charged with the following; Possession of Heroin, Possession of Prescription Drug without a Valid Prescription, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Hypodermic Needle. Vaccaro was released after posting bail with a future court appearance.
