Marijuana Arrests
On Thursday, August 4, 2016 at approximately 2353 hours, Ptl. Mazellan stopped Jose Quinones (31) on Rt 523 at Central Ave. for failing to maintain his lane. While Ptl. Mazellan was speaking to Quinones he smelled the odor of marijuana emanating from the interior of the vehicle. K9 Ronin sniffed the exterior and interior of the vehicle and located a bag of suspected marijuana in the trunk of the vehicle and a vaporizer which contained marijuana under the front passenger seat. Quinones was arrested for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of CDS in a motor vehicle and failure to maintain his lane. Quinones was released on his own recognizance.
On Friday, August 5, 2016 at approximately 2326 hours, Sgt. Heycock stopped Daniel Devino (30) on Rt. 22 at County Ln. Rd. for failing to maintain his lane. While Sgt. Heycock was speaking to Devino he smelled the odor of marijuana emanating from the interior of ther vehicle. K9 Ronin sniffed the exterior and interior of the vehicle and located under 50 grams of marijuana in the front passenger side rear seat pocket. Devino was also in possession of M. Amphet Salts which were contained in an unmarked plastic bottle located in a shoe in the trunk of the vehicle. Devino was arrested and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of certain prescription legend drugs, possession of CDS in a motor vehicle, failure to maintain his lane and an obstructed license plate. Devino was released on his own recognizance.
