RESISTING ARREST / NARCOTICS ARREST
On September 20th at 12:17 AM, police stopped Gabriel Bracero, 35, of Brooklyn, NY for erratic driving on US Hwy 22 near Coddington Rd. Ptl. Medvetz detected an odor of marijuana. A search was conducted with the assistance of Cpl. Wester and marijuana was located in the vehicle. Angie Bracero, 43, of Northhampton, PA was a passenger in the vehicle and was arrested for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. She was released to a relative. After being told he was going to be searched, Gabriel Bracero ran away and ignored orders to stop. Sgt Ferreiro was contacted and he responded to the scene with K-9 Polis. At approximately 1:30 AM, Bracero was located hiding in high vegetation southwest of the initial motor vehicle stop. Bracero resisted arrest when located and attempted to kick K-9 Polis. Gabriel Bracero was transported to the hospital for injuries sustained during the arrest. He was charged with Resisting Arrest by Flight, Resisting Arrest by causing substantial risk of physical injury, attempting to harm a police animal, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. After receiving medical treatment, he was taken to the Hunterdon County Jail in default of $15,000 bail. Ptl. Phares, Sgt. DeWire and Lt. Crater assisted
