SHOPLIFTING

On Monday, April 3, 2017 at 1820 hours, officers were dispatched to a business on Route 22 for a shoplifting complaint. Officers were advised that a female had stolen a bottle of vodka and fled the area. Officers located the suspect, Alexandra N. Travis, 29, from Whitehouse Station, NJ at a local motel. Officers gained entry into the room and took Travis into custody after a brief struggle. She was charged with shoplifting, aggravated assault on police, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, resisting arrest, and obstruction of justice. Travis was turned over into the custody of the Hunterdon County Sheriff's Department.
