On Friday, January 5, 2018 at approximately 0945 hours, the Readington Township Police were dispatched to the area of Pulaski Rd. and Thor Solberg Rd. for a motor vehicle accident involving a struck 44 year old female. Phyllis Castells a 77 year old female from Whitehouse Station attempted to stop while traveling east on Pulaski Rd. because of a stopped school bus. Castells lost control of her vehicle due to the snow and icy road conditions and swerved to the right into the front yard of a residence on Pulaski Rd. Castells was unable to stop her vehicle from sliding through the snow and struck a female standing outside her vehicle waiting for her child to be picked up by the school bus. The victim suffered nonlife threatening injuries and was flown by the NJSP North Star Helicopter to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. Phyllis Castells was issued a motor vehicle summons for Careless Driving.
