On Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at approximately 1415 hours, the Readington Township Police Department responded to a residence on Columbine Rd. for a report of an eye injury due to a nailgun. Upon arrival, police learned that an employee from the Better Basement Company was struck in the eye while firing a nail gun into the baseboard trim. The nail struck a hard surface and ricocheted back at the employee and grazed him in the eye. The NJSP North Star Medivac transported the victim to UMDNJ in Newark, NJ.
