On June 25, 2018 at approximately 1600 hours, Ptl. Mazellan was patrolling the Exxon Gas station Parking Lot when he heard a woman screaming. The officer observed a male later identified as Charles Manzo (24) out of Quakertown, PA smack his girlfriend across the face while parked in the gas station lot. Manzo refused to step out of the vehicle and slammed the door shut when Ptl. Mazellan attempted to open the door. Manzo refused to cooperate with the officer and was sprayed with pepper spray and removed from the vehicle and taken into custody for simple assault, resisting arrest and obstruction of justice. Manzo was released pending a future court date at the Readington Township Municipal Court.
