Update to Death Investigation
Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, Chief of
Detectives Frank R. Crisologo, and Readington Township Police
Chief Joseph Greco announce an update to the death investigation.
The investigation has determined the deaths were as a result of
domestic violence resulting in homicide and subsequent
suicide.
According to Prosecutor Kearns, " Readington Township Police were
called to 145 Readington Road for a report of an injured woman.
Responding Officers discovered Kimberly Uvenio, age 48 deceased
from what appeared to be blunt force trauma. A K9 track for the
suspect lead to a shed on the property where Salvatore Uvenio,
age 52 was also deceased from what appeared to be self inflicted
asphyxiation. An autopsy was performed this morning and confirmed
the cause of death."
Prosecutor Kearns continued, "Our heartfelt condolences go out to
family affected by this tragedy. Chief Greco asks that the public
and media please be respectful of the family and their residence
during this time of need. Families need to be aware of stressful
and challenging situations in our world and be aware of the signs
of concerning behaviors involved in domestic violence situations.
Families need to know that help is available to them and their
loved ones through assistance offered by mental health
professionals, advocacy groups and faith leaders. The advocacy
