Firearms application arrest

On September 19, 2018 Sgt. Carlos Ferreiro conducted a firearms application investigation on Ronald Mastronardi of Flemington, NJ. During the investigation, the officer located a criminal conviction for weapons that Mastronardi was charged while residing in New York. As the investigation unfolded, the officer became aware that Mastronardi falsified the firearms application indicating that he was never convicted of a criminal offense. A later interview of Mastronardi by the officer, confirmed that he did falsify the application. Mastronardi was subsequently arrested and charged with a third degree crime for falsifying a firearms application. Mastronardi was released from police custody pending a future court appearance.
