SUSPICIOUS BEHAVIOR LEADS TO ARREST

On Saturday, September 29th at approx. 1215 PM, police were dispatched to the Rite Aid on US Hwy 22 for a suspicious male. Officers located Patrick Hammond, 33, of Somerville, NJ in the parking lot engaged in a verbal altercation with another male. While investigating, several bystanders advised the officers they witnessed Hammond engaging in behavior that they considered improper. Mr. Hammond was found to have a warrant out of Bridgewater Municipal Court and was subsequently arrested. During processing, Hammond threatened to fight the arresting officers, spat on the floor and continued to engage in tumultuous behavior. Ptl. DaRocha charged Hammond with disorderly conduct. He was ROR'd on his new charge as well as the active warrant and transported to Hunterdon Medical Center for evaluation.
